Choral Evensong, Rite I

Evensong is a service of Evening Prayer in the Episcopal tradition in which much of the worship is sung. Drawn from the Book of Common Prayer, it brings together Scripture readings, psalms, canticles, and prayers in a quiet, reflective setting. In Choral Evensong, the choir sings much of the service, inviting the congregation to participate through attentive listening, prayer, and shared responses.
