Seminarian Appointed to St. Paul's

The Diocese of East Carolina has asked St. Paul’s to be a field education congregation for one of its 3rd year seminarians, Michael Roberts (Mike). St. Paul’s has happily obliged and looks forward to being fertile soil for Mike, who is seeking to grow and learn in our parish setting as he approaches the possibility of ordination next spring. Mike will begin his field education at St. Paul’s on Sunday, September 13. You may see him and his wife, Julia, in the pews before then. Please join me in welcoming Mike and Julia to St. Paul’s.

More about Mike

Mike is the program manager/grant writer for Columbus County Partnership for Children (CCPC). Although originally from South Georgia, he has called Columbus County home since 1997.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Development from the University of Mount Olive and a background in banking and business development, having worked as a vice president for BB&T/Truist until 2023 when he helped launch the technology services company, Provalus, in Whiteville. Mike has recently completed the Alternate Clergy Training Course (ACTS) at The School of Theology at Sewanee.
